I love those moments when you are just driving along or doing the dishes and a line of thinking pops in and takes over and when you get to the end of the thought you say, "Wow! That's pretty amazing!"
Well, I had one of those yesterday.
I was framing some data for a potential donor and it was an online form. I like the structure of online forms but there are often word limits so I'm constantly trying to figure out how to relay the big impact of Home Share Now in as few words as possible. And in this moment of whittling away adjectives, I was inspired to look at the total nights of home sharing that we supported last fiscal year (July 1, 2015 - June 30, 2016). I turned those days into weeks...a cumulative 1,582 weeks in home sharing packed into one year!
1,582 weeks = 396 months = 33 years! That's awesome, right? This little organization secured housing for 33 years in one year with a budget of 249K.
Yup, that deserves a wow.
And did you notice that it takes less characters to say "33 years" than "1,582 weeks"?
